    Dear Deputy Premier Steven Miles,
Queenslanders overwhelmingly recognise our Outback as a precious place. It has shaped our culture, our economy, and who we are today.

But people and nature in our Outback are facing unprecedented threats, which they’re struggling to overcome. Many Queenslanders are working hard to manage these threats and sustain nature in the Outback but they need our support.

We have a unique opportunity to turn this around and leave a deep and lasting legacy for the future generations of our great State.

We urge you to invest in Our Living Outback by:
    - Supporting landholders and expanding the Nature Refuges Program
    - Growing the successful Indigenous Ranger program
    - Creating new National Parks for all Queenslanders

You can also add your own personalised message about why you support a strong and healthy Outback:

A message to the Treasurer from the people of Queensland

Outback Queensland is the heart of our state. Stretching from the tropical rainforests of Cape York to the Gulf Country’s savanna plains and the vast floodplains of the Channel Country, our Outback is as diverse as the people and wildlife who call it home.

But, the health and future of our Outback is at risk. Feral animals and noxious weeds are spreading rapidly, while destructive fires threaten nature and property.

To sustain the future health of our Outback we need investment in programs that support people managing and combating these threats. Send a message to the Treasurer and show your support for Outback Queensland today!

We’ll take the voice of passionate Queenslanders directly to the Deputy Premier, Steven Miles MP, and with your help we’ll deliver this special book with the names of thousands of Queenslanders asking for investment in Indigenous Rangers, Nature Refuges and National Parks – three programs that help sustain the health of our Outback.
