Volunteer for nature!

Volunteer with us!

Did you know that Queensland is home to the most native plant and animals species on the continent but has the lowest percentage of land protected and managed?

At Our Living Outback we're trying to change that through our Double It For Nature campaign. We are working to double Queensland's national parks, nature refuges and support landholders, park rangers and Indigenous rangers to care for country.

So, are you in?

Volunteering with us can take many forms depending on your availability, interests and skills.

Local promoter: Will you help us spread the word about Queensland's national parks, nature refuges and land management jobs in your community? Drop off campaign postcards and stickers at cafes, libraries and other community hubs.

Events helper & community engagement: Interested in lending a pair of hands to assist with our community events or market stalls? We hold politics in the pub, film screenings, photo exhibitions and regular stalls all over South East Queensland and beyond!

Logistics helper: Like the behind the scenes work of events? Want to put your event savvy brain to use for people and nature in Queensland? Sign up to help us plan events and community engagement activities.

Content creator: Got an eye for social media and graphic design? Know your Insta from your Facey? Sign up to help us find or create content about people and nature in Queensland for Our Living Outback's online accounts.

Office helper: Come hang out with us in the office! Help out with anything from data entry to research and general admin tasks.

Do you have an awesome idea or a skill-set you'd like to offer? We'd love to hear from you!
